About Marrakesh
Snake charmers, magic potions, hidden palaces: Marrakesh brings the most outlandish travellers' tales to life. The Pink City has waylaid desert caravans since the 11th century, as visitors succumb to the charms of its enchanting music, steamy traditional Moroccan spas, and multi-course feasts.

Visitors today often disappear down a maze of winding alleys and emerge days later, relaxed and refreshed from their stays in spectacular maison d'hotes set up in riads (courtyard guesthouses) where their every need is anticipated by butlers, in-house chefs and massage therapists.

Adventure awaits at the doorstep in the medina: the streets are bustling with exotic dancers, snake charmers and food stalls selling every imaginable delicacy. Most of the population of Marrakesh is of Berber descent. The traditional dishes of couscous and tajine are traditional Berber cuisine now known the world over.

Set against a backdrop of the snow-tipped peaks of the Atlas Mountains, the city of Marrakesh defies stereotype. It is at once ancient and modern. The focal point of Marrakesh is its celebrated square, the Jemaa el Fna, and towering over the scene is the stately Koutoubia minaret (which provides, in silhouette, our very own logo!).
